Art Affair – a local event!

WCAA Board member Terry McKay, owner of the Lily Pond (Curry), has teamed up with Robin Bonner, artist and owner of McKenzie Bee (Jasper) , and have formed a fun canvas painting class program called "Art Affair"  - in short, AA !   Classes run from 6:00-9:00, at the McKenzie Bee shop on Hwy 78, in the strip mall near Food World. The Lily Pond website www.thelilypond-al.com contains the schedule, registration form, and a thumbnail of the projects. Painting classes will be held Friday and Saturday nights. Please call Terry, 384-9525 or Robin, 302-7272 for additional information. The cost will be $25-$35 according to the project. Seats are limited, and reservations will be required.

Social Art Club

Terry McKay has also formed a "social art club"…the Lily Pond Arts Society, that promotes hands-on classes such as painting, food design, paper crafts, jewelry making, and more. These classes are for the beginner at this point but may develop more advanced classes later on. At the beginning of each month, the different classes, instructors, and costs will be posted on her web site www.thelilypond-al.com . The Lily Pond Arts Society will meet at The Lily Pond Tea Room in Curry. Hot tea, coffee, and light refreshments will be served. Please consider taking advantage of these classes. BEVERAGES & BRUSHSTROKES

An evening of fun, and a fundraiser for the Arts Alliance!

BRUSHSTROKES & BEVERAGES will be held 4/21 at the Lily Pond in Curry. Sign-in starts at 6:30...painting class begins at 7:00 and runs till 9:00pm.

Enjoy an evening of painting, with an instructor who will take you thru all the steps. You may bring the beverage of your choice. The cost of $40 includes the class, and all supplies (paint, instruction, canvas). The beverage you bring, of course, is up to you.  It's a great night out, especially with a few friends! You may call the Lily Pond (205-384-9525)to reserve a spot or call the Arts Alliance office 221-1711 Tues/Wed/Thurs, 9-Noon.  A credit card is required to save your spot, and you will leave with a nice painting. The subject will be a pear...suitable for framing!
